GOOD NEWS CHANNEL
Goodnews Channel made a humble beginning in the year 1996 with a vision to
present and package value based programme to cater to both Christian and
non-Christian viewers. Having recorded a steady growth over the years, now the
company produces around 600 programmes a month in 6 major Indian
languages and put them on air in more than 10 different leading secular TV
channels watched by millions of people not just in India but all across the Middle
East, Far East& South Asia. Goodnews Channel is being managed by father-son
duo of professionally qualified technocrats .Having been raised in Christian
values ,they have ventured to put their technical expertise into the world of
television and broadcasting to spread the message of Goodnews to as many
people as possible through this medium.
THE PRIME MOVERS
The company is headed by D.Nehru Dhyriam, a graduate in film technology from the film & TV Institute, Govt.of Tamil Nadu.He has been involved in film and video production for the past 35 years. His rich technical knowledge in all departments of film / television production is the main asset of the Goodnews Channel. He served as the chief producer in the Film &TV Division of the Govt.of Tamil Nadu for over two decades. During his tenure as chief producer, he produced more than 200 documentaries and short films on various subjects. He was also on the advisory board of the UPSC for selecting media related candidates for Doordharshan and other Govt.of India departments.
His son, N.Ashvin Dev Dhyriam after graduating from the Film & TV institute, Govt.
of Tamilnadu did his post graduation and had advanced training in all areas of TV
programming and production at Cross Roads, Burlington, Canada. He is widely
travelled and he has handled several video projects in Sweden, Germany and
Finland. He has a great passion for teaching and training youngsters in the
television media and he is the course director of our Training Institutes at Chennai
& Hyderabad.
 It would not be out of place here to mention the active roleplayed by Priscilla Dhyriam, wife of Nehru Dhyriam, in helping the company scale great heights through her spiritual support and prayers through the Fragrance Ministry headed by her.

CHRISTIAN MEDIA CONFERENCE
 Recognizing the needs and challenges of Indian Christian Media, Goodnews
Channel along with a team of professionals took the initiative to hold a Christian
Media Conference for the first time in India at Chennai on 30th September 2011
with the objective of networking all the stake holders engaged in Christian
media operations and communications and identifying the emerging global
trends and technologies for adopting the same for effective gospel
communication in India. Dr Ronald L Harris, NRB, USA and Mr. Hannu Haukka,
GCMM, Finland delivered enlightening speeches and conducted workshops in
the conference which drew participants from all parts of India.

SHUBHSANDESH Television
The latest addition to the family of entities of Good
News Channel is SHUBHSANDESH Television
recently approved by the Govt. which is a 24 hours
satellite channel dedicated to the promotion of
Christian values and communication of Gospel
among the Hindi speaking people. Hindi being the
largest spoken language in India and in the absence
of any whole time exclusive Christian channel of
standing in Hindi, SHUBHSANDESH is poised to
reach 75% of the Indian population and also touch
the huge Hindi speaking diaspora scattered all
across the globe. The channel is being uplinked to
INTELSAT-IS 10 which transmits the signals on wide
beam to more than 120 countries over Asia, Africa,
Middle East, and Australia across the globe. It is
hoped that with the support and back-up from all
denominations and the entire spectrum of Christian
community, SHUBHSANDESH with its innovative
programmes is set to make a mark and impact the
